CLC is ready and so excited to host the 2024 Homeschool Prom! Please go over the information listed below and make sure your children also read it over so they know what to expect! CLC is working very hard to make sure all students have a safe and wonderful evening! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Open to all homeschooled high school students only & their guest(s). All attendees must be between the ages of 14-20, no middle school students are permitted to attend. Students signing up for the Prom must be homeschooled; guests do not have to be homeschooled students. As long as the student is a guest of a homeschooled student and will be attending with a homeschooled student.

Prom Attire - Traditional style - Modest

Formal/Semi-Formal Attire, dresses must be at least knee length or longer. Spaghetti strap dresses are allowed but make sure they are modest and have good coverage. CLC will have XL T-shirts to put over dresses that are not appropriate or deny entrance with no refund if this dress code is not met. Men can wear a tux, down to Sunday wear, no jeans.

Prom Expectations - hors d'oeuvres, dinner, clean music with DJ Zach Carter. Dancing, and photo booth.

Tickets are $55 per person, sign up and pay on the CLC Website beginning on 1/1/24; after 3/31/24 ticket prices are $65 per person; No refunds on any tickets purchased, all funds are put right to work to pay for the event. No tickets are sold at the door, must be purchased online or at co-op before the prom.

Sign-ups on CLC website on the calendar section of the website under the date of 4/26/24. Funds are put right to work and refunds are not available.

Prom Night- Arrive promptly at 6:30. We will have Hors d’oeuvres and dinner to be followed by dancing until 10 pm. Hope your shoes are comfy!

Safety - It is the goal of Covenant Light Homeschool Co-op to provide a safe, secure environment for all students. To provide this environment, we ask that CLC students and ALL GUESTS of CLC students who wish to attend the homeschool prom meet the following requirements:

1. Follow all school rules, policies, procedures, and illness policy.

2. Be at least 14 years old, enrolled in high school, and not older than 20 years of age.

3. Be at least a freshman in high school, a student of CLC, non CLC student, and guests - NO MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS

4. Have no criminal record or arrests. If guests are younger than 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must consent to a records check if desired by the CLC security team. Only select parents of CLC students are staying to chaperone, no guests' parents may stay and chaperone unless arranged with the CLC board ahead of time. All chaperones are background checked and authorized to stay at the prom and chaperone. There will be 12 chaperones handling all areas of the venue along with an off-duty Lake County officer.

6. Not presently be suspended or expelled from ANY school.

7. Have no serious behavior problems at their present school or when they were in school.

8. Make sure students are healthy! If anyone is sick in any way, please stay home, we will do the prom again next year.

By signing up for prom, you agree to these terms, no refunds will be given if these terms are not met.
